How to Wear a Hermes Scarf ? ^__^

1) Make your Hermes scarf into a small scarf :

  • Fold the scarf in half lengthwise. Repeat this fold three more times.
  • Place the center of your long strand of scarf at the back of your neck and begin wrapping it around your neck.
  • Wrap it once, and then tie a knot in the front, leaving only small tails.

2) Wear your Hermes scarf as a bow :
  • Take two Hermes scarves and fold them lengthwise until you have two long strands.
  • Tie the two folded scarves together
  • Wrap the long piece around your neck once, and tie it either under your chin on ear one ear as you would a bow.

3) Wear your Hermes scarf as a cowl :
  • Fold the scarf in half lengthwise and tie the two ends together into a discreet knot.
  • Put the ring of scarf over your head and lay it loosely around your neck; it will drape over your collarbones and fall into folds.

4) Elegantly drape the scarf over your shoulders. You can either do this over a jack or a light top.

  • Fold the scarf in half, either into a triangle or a rectangle; the choice is up to you. Looking at your ensemble as well as the shape of you body will give you clues about which shape will do your look more justice.

Wear the Scarf on Your Head :
 1)  Braid your Hermes scarf into your hair if your hair is long enough.
  • Fold it in half length-wise, and repeat this same fold 2 to 3 more times, depending on how thin you want the scarf strand to be. You should end up with a scarf around 2” wide, while the length will remain unchanged.
  • Place the scarf at the base of your skull and gather your hair together as you wrap the scarf around them.
  • Tie the scarf into a knot, making sure it is positioned at the back. Take the ends and the hair, and braid together, using each piece of scarf as one hair, so you have 2 parts scarf and one part hair. Tie the end of the braid with the scarf.

2) Transform your Hermes scarf into a headband :

  • Start by folding the scarf the same way you would to braid it you’re your hair.
  • Wrap scarf around your head as you would a regular headband.
  • Tie it at the nape of your neck, under the hair.

 3) Turn your Hermes scarf into a kerchief.
  • Fold the scarf in half into a rectangle.
  • Place it on top of your head and tie the ends at the nape of your neck, under your hair.

4) Make your Hermes scarf into a turban headband.
  • Start with the scarf folded as outlined in the braid section.
  • Center the scarf at the back of your head.
  • Bring the ends forward and twist them around each other once at your forehead.
  • Bring the ends to the back of the head again, and tie the together into a knot.

5) Wear your Hermes scarf like a pirate would.
  • Fold the scarf in half into a triangle and put the scarf over your head with the folded section at your hairline near your forehead and with the point at the back.
  • Bring the side points back behind your ears and tie them above your hair, right beneath the back point.

Wear the Scarf as Clothing

  1) Wear your Hermes scarf as a belt :

  • Fold the scarf in half lengthwise and repeat until you’ve created a strand approximately 2” wide.
  • Thread the folded scarf through belt loops, and tie both ends at your side at the front.
  • If needed, tie 2 scarves together and then use them the same way as a belt.

2) Wear your Hermes scarf as a bikini top. This style is sometimes also referred to as a bandeau.
  • Bunch the scarf up into a long piece.
  • Tie a knot right at the center of the scarf. Pull it tight because this will be placed at the center of your bust.
  • Wrap the scarf over your chest and tie a bow at the end to complete the look.

3) Use your Hermes scarf as a sarong. A sarong—also known as a pareo in Tahiti—is essentially a piece of fabric that is wrapped around the body, either at the waist or around the whole torso. The following is one way to use an Hermes scarf as a sort of wrap skirt.
    • Fold the scarf in half into a triangle and place the center of the folded edge against your left hip at waist-height.
    • Bring the two pointed ends together as you wrap it around the lower half of your body.
    • Tie the scarf at your side

Wear the Scarf as an Accessory

1) Wear your Hermes scarf as a bracelet. If you have a smaller scarf, wrap it around your wrist, and either tie it into a knot or a bow for an unexpected but chic bracelet. You may need someone’s help to accomplish this look.

2) Use your Hermes scarf as a bag. You won’t be able to carry your groceries in it, but it can serve as a unique clutch to hold small items.
  • Take two ends of the scarf and tie them together.
  • Bring the ends to meet the other two corners of the scarf.
  • Take all four points and tie them together, leaving enough room to slip your arm in.

3) Wrap your Hermes scarf around your bag strap :

  • Fold your scarf in half lengthwise a few times until you create a long strand.
  • Tie one end of your scarf to the base of one end of your handbag strap.
  • Wrap the strap with the scarf.
  • Tie the loose end of your scarf to the other end of your bag strap.
